L'Arche Edmonton invites all who have been touched by Jean Vanier's life and message, to join us at an ecumenical Memorial Celebration. We will celebrate the life and legacy of the founder of L'Arche on July 8, 4:30 pm, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Anglican Church, 6110 Fulton Rd., Edmonton. In Jean's tradition of celebrating and coming together around a meal, an outdoor picnic will follow. We invite everyone to bring their own picnic. Coffee and cold drinks will be provided. In the spirit of peaceful dialogue, understanding, reconciliation, and healing, we walk alongside our Indigenous and Métis relations on the Treaty 6 and Treaty 8 Territories, the traditional meeting ground of Cree, Saulteaux, Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Nakota Sioux, Dene, Métis, and Inuit peoples.
