On Sunday February 27 at 7:00 pm, St. Margaret's Anglican Church in Edmonton will host a Zoom gathering to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first service in their church building (which was held December 22, 1996). Note that the parish was founded in September 1980 but met in rented facilities for 16 years before constructing its own building.
Former members, and our many friends, are welcome to join us for this event, which will be hosted on Zoom by our rector, the Rev. Tim Chesterton, and by Gary Hughes. We will have video greetings from the Rev. Ed McNeill, who was the rector when the church was built, and from our Bishop Steve London. We will have a slide presentation and stories to share about the planning and construction of the building, and a bit about our history since then. There will also be opportunities for comments and questions.
The event itself will probably last about 45 minutes, but the Zoom room will be kept open for a while afterwards in case people want to stay and visit. If you would like to attend this event, please email Tim Chesterton at stmrector@gmail.com and he will make sure you get a Zoom invitation.
