ACC Reconciliation Tool Kit and NewsletterNew Resources Help Anglicans Continue Process of Truth-telling and Healing Since the conclusion of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC) mandate in 2015 and the release of the TRC’s 94 Calls to Action, Anglicans across Canada have been seeking ways to continue the process of truth-telling and healing begun by the TRC. Wherever you are at, you will find resources here to help you either enter into this journey for the first time, or take the next step on that journey. Want to be part of a network of Anglicans talking about and working towards reconciliation? 41st Annual Lessons and Carols ServiceSt. Aidan and St. Hilda, Rexboro A chorus of readers and singers led by Bishop Jane Alexander and accompanied by organist Fred Bryant, brought warmth to the festively decorated sanctuary of St. Aidan and St. Hilda Anglican Church, Rexboro, on Sunday, December 9. The 41st Annual Advent Lessons and Carols Service drew an enthusiastic congregation to the pioneer country church west of Edmonton for the traditional telling of Jesus’ birth. But, amidst the cozy carolers, a bishop was stirring.

Christmas Prep at St. Patrick's
The second Sunday of Advent (December 9th) was a day of special fun for St Patrick’s Sunday School and Youth Group members. Instead of regular activities and study, children and youth had fun making ornaments for a Christmas tree set up at the back of the church for the duration of the Christmas season. Among ornaments created were bells, sheep and pinecone ornaments. Larger pine cones were used to make “Christmas trees” to be placed on the tables as centerpieces for a parish birthday party for Jesus and pot luck lunch after regular service and the Sunday School Christmas presentation in church on the third Sunday of Advent (December 16th). Story and photos submitted by Wayne Madden of St. Patrick's Anglican Church. For more infomation visit: http://edmonton.anglican.org/news/christmas-prep-at-st-patricks

Messy Christmas at St. Augustine Parkland
On December 8 at St. Augustine’s Parkland, Messy Church had in attendance 100 children with their parents and grandparents, making our service over 150 people. The theme was built on the idea of a St. Nick’s Party; whereby, through our crafts and service, we deepened our understanding of the story of St. Nicholas and the birth of Jesus. We also sang wonderful Christmas hymns to heighten the theme. In addition, we had two specials guests, Mr. and Mrs. Claus, join us during our feast. Emmanuel was truly with us in the midst of this chaotic joy! For more infomation visit: http://edmonton.anglican.org/news/messy-christmas-at-st-augustine-parkland
