Fred Matthews, lay-reader-in-charge of the Church of the Nativity, Frog Lake, spoke to the Edmonton Cursillo June Ultreya about the renewed importance of listening to and walking with Canada's Indigenous peoples, to deepen understanding and relationship. The Cursillo community is invited (along with the rest of the Edmonton diocese) to do that by travelling with Fred, by bus, to the Frog Lake National Historic Site on Day 2 of the community's Pow Wow on August 7. The bus(es) leaves St. Thomas' Anglican Church, 4A Raven Drive, Sherwood Park, at 8:00am and will be back by 5:00pm. Please register for the journey by emailing Fred at froglake.anglican@gmail.com. Donations are requested to cover the cost of transport. It is recommended that folks wear orange shirts! You are allowed to take pictures of the dancers.  Pictures are not permitted during the pipe ceremonies and sun dances.  There will be food on the grounds to purchase.
