The Epitaphios is a Christian religious icon, typically a large embroidered cloth bearing an image of the dead body of Christ. It is sometimes used on Good Friday and Holy Saturday, and as an altar cloth through the Season of Easter. In this meditational liturgy, which consists of a series of short selected scripture readings and imaginative exercises, we humans (anthropos) will seek to be similarly cloaked; to become human altars covered in the image of the body of Christ: Anthropos Epitaphios.

Interface Worship at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Edmonton will present this Holy Saturday Vigil on April 11 at 7:00 pm on Zoom. To register, email Jim Robertson at interfaceworship@gmail.com. Please tag the email "Emerging From the Cave"
