St. John the Baptist, St. Paul will be hosting Day 3 (January 20), "Hope," of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. Every year, member churches of the vibrant, supportive, and community-focused St. Paul and Area Inter-Church Group participate in the Week of Prayer. This year's theme, taken from Acts 28:2 "They showed us unusual kindness," calls Christians to show greater generosity to those in need. People are invited to attend any or all of the services, held at a different church from January 16-25, and experience other Christian traditions.

The offertory collection from these services will help enhance Extendicare programming in St. Paul. Extendicare is a longterm care facility for residents of St. Paul residents ranging in age from 20 to 103.  Previous year's donations have gone to Camp Sunshine (a summer camp for children experiencing grief), Columbus House of Hope (a women's shelter), and youth mental health awareness.
