Caring for One Another During Coronavirus PandemicWorship Community Guidelines CORRECTION: It was incorrectly stated in the March 15 Worship Community Guidelines update that Alberta's Chief Medical Officer has cancelled public worship gatherings due to indications of community spread of COVID-19. In fact, it was announced that public worship services are "no longer exempt from the restrictions on mass gatherings: Effective immediately, all places of worship are now being asked to follow the same restrictions being placed on other gatherings in the province. All mass gatherings of 250 people or more should be cancelled. Any event that has more than 50 attendees and expects to have international participants, or involves critical infrastructure staff, seniors, or other high-risk populations, should also be cancelled." As per Bishop Jane's directive on March 14, all public worship services in the Anglican Diocese of Edmonton are suspended until March 29 inclusive. The COVID-19 pandemic is ever-changing and Bishop Jane has asked that parishes take precautionary measures to protect the wellbeing of themselves and others. "We are living in an extraordinary time and we need to put the needs of the most vulnerable members of our churches before all else," said Bishop Jane. "Please take good care of yourselves and your folk." For more infomation visit: http://edmonton.anglican.ca/news/caring-for-one-another-during-coronavirus-pandemic
