Another Fantastic Evening Together!
Edmonton Cursillo held our fourth Zoom Ultreya on Friday, May 21. We had 18 Zoom windows with 24 people attending, which was amazing considering it was a long weekend. Our Lay Director David Holehouse commented, “I thought that was one of the best Ultreyas ever - great flow, good attendance, lovely prayers and community support for one another.” The Rev. Sandra Arbeau shared an awesome witness talk which led to a lot of reflection in the breakout rooms, as well when we were all back together. It was a great night with great prayers and an abundance of love. See you all at our next Ultreya – June 18, 2020. Submitted by Janie Séguin, Cursillo Communications |

Families Encouraged to Remember Indigenous Children with Reconciliation HeartsMessy Church Reconciliation-at-Home Activity During the springtime we remember how excited we were as children for the school year to be nearly finished. For thousands of Indigenous children who attended Residential School the end of the school year meant they could finally go home to their families. We now know what happened to those children was not good for them or their families, We now know that thousands of children died while at school. The Indigenous Ministries Team invites families in our diocese to make hearts honouring the Indigenous children who went ot Residential School. We have attached a "Have a Heart" activity sheet from the “Messy Church Reconciliation at Home” resource. If you would like, share a picture of your heart being made and/or planted around your parish's chokecherry tree. Pictures, as well as questions, can be emailed to Fiona Brownlee at f.brownlee@edmonton.anglican.ca |
