Diocese Encouraged to Support Communities Impacted by Wildfires
Acting Diocesan Administrator, the Venerable Lee Bezanson, reminds us to continue to uphold in prayer the communities impacted by wildfires, especially in the Williams Lake, Castlegar and Columbia-Shuswap regions of BC. Please consider supporting relief efforts through the Canadian Red Cross 2021 BC Fires appeal (the Government of Canada and the Government of British Columbia will each match every dollar donated), Canada Helps and PWRDF. |
Education for Ministry (EfM) Fall Registration Deadline Extended
Do you have questions about your faith? Education for Ministry (EfM) was developed by the School of Theology in Sewanee, Tennessee to provide a mechanism for people to work through their questions. This four-year course of study provides the framework, through reading and discussion (no exams), to connect your faith to your daily life:
Group members and trained mentors will meet via Zoom once a week, September through May, to for an opportunity to articulate their faith and shape it into action. Processing the Pandemic for MinistryTuesday July 27, August 3, 10, 8 - 10 AM, Via Webcast | LIVE ONLINE This pandemic recovery course, offered by Luther Seminary, is designed to help ministry leaders create space (some literal breathing room) for identifying what they've learned throughout the pandemic and prioritizing its importance to their life and ministry. As we begin to re-imagine life in a post-pandemic world, this course, offered online Tuesdays. from July 27 – August 10 (8-10 AM), is intended to shine a light on the way forward. It is an opportunity for parish officers and vestries to process what they've learned personally and professionally through the pandemic.
