Arctic AppealHelp our Canadian Neighbours in Need Every year, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul North of 60 Project ships sea containers full of goods and supplies to nine northern and Arctic communities. St. Albert AB is partnered with the hamlet of Ulukhaktok, located on Victoria Island in the Beaufort Sea. Ulukhaktok (pop 450) is only accessible by air and, for a few summer months, by sea. Once the St. Albert sea container is packed with food and necessities, in May and June, it is trucked with other containers, to Hay River. In July, the containers are loaded onto sea barges, which travel down the MacKenzie River to the Beaufort Sea, dropping off containers at communities along the way. Ulukhaktok’s sea barge arrives in the fall. This year's project includes a special request from the Anglican Church of the Resurrection in Ulukhaktok. For more infomation visit:

Clergy ResilienceManaging Stress and Restoring Self Caring for others, responding to others, and coping with conflict and change on a continual basis is always part of the ministry of clergy. It can take its toll - especially in the context of a pandemic that has resulted in isolation, grief and loss, financial stress, and for some, despair. We believe that resilience arises and develops when self-awareness, self-care, and community and spiritual renewal are actively engaged. This 3-day workshop, to be held May 1-4, will provide a resilience development program with opportunity to reflect, interact with others, and to be seen, heard, and understood. The retreat is led by three skilled professionals: Marv Westwood, David Kuhl and Lin Langley. For more infomation visit: https://www.sorrentocentre.ca/events/developing-resilience-and-restoring-self
