Prayer for the Repose of the Soul of the Rev. Nancy Selwood

Please pray for the repose of the soul of the Rev. Nancy Selwood, retired priest of the Edmonton diocese. We learned of Nancy's passing this week. She was 89 years old, only two weeks from her 90th birthday.

Nancy was ordained as a deacon in 1986 and was priested the following year in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She first served in ordained ministry in Saskatoon, then later in Red Lake, Ontario, and became rector of St. Philip’s, Westlock in Edmonton diocese from September 1998 to 2000.

The funeral will be held in Toronto. Please keep Nancy’s children, Andrew and Emily, in your prayers, along with all her friends and family.

We entrust our sister Nancy to your mercy.
You loved her greatly in this life; 
Now that she is freed from all its cares give her happiness 
and peace for ever. 
The old order has passed away;
Welcome her into paradise 
Where there will be no more sorrow,
No more weeping or pain,
But only peace and joy

And the Holy Spirit,
For ever and ever,
