On the morning of Sunday, June 19, Bishop Stephen London joined the Emmanuel worship community and the Inner City Pastoral Ministry (ICPM), led by the Rev. Quinn Strikwerda at the Bissell Centre on 96 Street in Edmonton, for a National Indigenous Day of Prayer service led by Michelle Nieviadomy. Afterward, bag lunches were offered to anyone in need.

At his second stop on Sunday, Bishop Steve was grateful for the hospitality he received from the Filipino community at St. Matthias, Edmonton, led by the Rev. Eric Kregel. “A great service was followed by a tremendous feast and celebration with gongs and dance,” he said on Facebook.

Bishop Steve joined the parish of Holy Trinity Old Strathcona in Edmonton on a beautiful Trinity Sunday morning, June 12, for a confirmation service. Afterward, he was welcomed and offered bratwurst at a tent reception on the church lawn.

On Pentecost Sunday, June 5, Bishop Steve celebrated a service of confirmation and renewal of vows with the Parish of Good Shepherd in northeast Edmonton. “I enjoyed hearing about the new youth drop-in center they are starting, as well as many other things they are doing to reach out to their neighbourhood,” he said.

On Wednesday evening, June 1, Bishop Steve inducted the Rev. Clare Stewart as rector of St. Timothy's, Edmonton. “It was a great service celebrating shared ministry. There was even a hand bell choir! I am so pleased they called her and am looking forward to where the next chapter takes them.”
