Building a new website or updating your website this summer? For most of us, the internet is an integral part of daily life. A functional website is an important tool for a parish. A simple website with service times and contact information is essential for an effective parish communication strategy.

Fortunately, it has never been easier to build and maintain a website. Many people still believe that some coding experience is required, but many online web-building tools only require text entry (no coding at all!!).

There are many website-building services (Google Sites, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Wix, Tithely, WordPress, and many, many others), and different services can fill various needs. Generally, any web design service will allow you to add an event calendar, a giving link, and all the parish/service information you desire.

When searching for web services, consider integrated services. For example, a Tithely site will have built-in giving tools (including automatically generated tax receipts) and the option to create an e-newsletter from website posts.
