We’ve talked about copyright considerations for the last couple of weeks, but it’s a big topic!

With regards to print resources used by parishes, the Book of Alternative Services (BAS) is still under copyright. Still, the Anglican Church of Canada permits parishes to download and use it freely. The full text of the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) and BAS is available on the Anglican Church of Canada Website. 

Most hymnals in wide use are still under copyright (including Common Praise). If items are copied or inserted into a bulletin or projection slide, the parish will need the appropriate permissions to duplicate.
