The consecration and installation of the Rev. Stephen London as the 11th Bishop of Edmonton will take place on the morning of September 18, 2021, the Feast of the Founders, Benefactors, and Missionaries. Sadly, due to the peaking numbers of COVID-19 cases and the re-introduction of health measures, this will be a closed service. Those physically present will, for the most part, be those who are required to attend.
The entire diocese, however, is invited to attend this celebration virtually. The service will be live-streamed here on the All Saints’ Cathedral YouTube Channel / Service Bulletin
Metropolitan of the Ecclesiastical Province of Rupert's Land Archbishop Greg Kerr-Wilson will officiate the service, beginning at 11:00 am, at All Saints’ Anglican Cathedral in Edmonton. Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada Archbishop Linda Nicholls and National Indigenous Anglican Archbishop Mark MacDonald, and Bishops of the Province of Rupert's Land will also take part. The service will begin with a smudge led by Indigenous elders Russell Auger and Bernadette Iahtail. Indigenous Ministries Archdeacon Travis Enright will give the homily address.
Members of the diocese will be represented in person by archdeacons, lay and clergy canons and regional deans.
