During the ordination service on June 29, the Feast of St. Peter and St. Paul, Bishop Stephen London gave thanks for the ministry of the Ven. Lee Bezanson as an Archdeacon in the Diocese of Edmonton. Though he is stepping down from his role as Executive Archdeacon, Bezanson will continue his ministry as rector of St. Matthew’s, St. Albert.
“I have appreciated not only your counsel and wisdom but your kindness and your presence,” said London. “Thank you, Lee. Your service to this diocese is incomparable.”
Prior to joining the Edmonton diocese, where he has served as rector of Good Shepherd, Edmonton; Edmonton West Regional Dean, rector of All Saints’ Cathedral and Dean of Edmonton; Bezanson served in the Diocese of Kootenay and the Canadian Armed Forces.
He was collated as an Archdeacon in the Stall of St. Peter in 2010.
