Representatives of the Diocese of Edmonton met with Mayor Andrew Knack and community partners at St. Faith's this week to launch the Faith Lands Affordable Housing Incentive. The initiative represents a $2-million collaborative grant program that will support initial studies and site assessments, allowing churches to launch affordable housing projects. The project is part of the City of Edmonton and the Edmonton Community Foundation's plan to respond to a significant shortage of affordable housing.

St. Faith's is planning to use some of its land for affordable housing and community space. As part of the Lodgepole Communitas, a family of churches and community organizations centred on belonging, St. Faith's already serves many people who would benefit from this program.
