This week more than 350 Anglicans from across Canada — delegates, partners, invited guests, displayers, volunteers and observers — are gathering in Vancouver for the 42nd General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada. While there, delegates will discuss several important issues (outlined by Bishop Jane in her call to prayer) affecting our church and how we are living out the marks of mission in our public life and witness.
Please pray for our clergy and lay delegates: the Ven. Alan Perry, the Rev. Heather Liddell, Dorothy Marshall, Stephen Martin and Ben Goetze, as well as Bishop Jane who is one of five candidates for the primacy of the Anglican Church of Canada. The primatial election will be held at Christ Church Cathedral on Saturday.
