Please Pray for the Repose of the Soul of the Rev. Carol Canton

The Rev. Carol Canton died on Ash Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the age of 87.

Rev. Carol was ordained an Anglican priest in 1985 in the Anglican Diocese of Montreal. She served several churches in Quebec before moving to our Diocese, where she served at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Edmonton, then as Rector of St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in St. Albert, a position she held until retirement. She was involved in Cursillo and, with her husband, the late Rev. Ray Canton, was instrumental in bringing TEC (Together Encountering Christ) to the Diocese of Edmonton in the early 1990s.

All are invited to her funeral, which will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 2 pm (EST), at St. Matthew's Anglican Church in Ottawa, Ontario. It will also be livestreamed. Her obituary can be found here: the Rev. Carol Canton.
