The Anglican Church of Canada has appointed Melanie Delva to get and keep Canadian Anglicans moving in the direction of reconciliation between the settler and Indigenous people of this country. One of the most powerful things she does is to admit that she 'grew up racist' and to share her personal journey around reconciliation. In this hour-long video (make a cup of tea and sit back) she shares with St. Martin's Cathedral in the diocese of Central Newfoundland (posted May 2019). In the spirit of peaceful dialogue, understanding, reconciliation, and healing, we walk alongside our Indigenous and Métis relations on the Treaty 6 and Treaty 8 Territories, the traditional meeting ground of Cree, Saulteaux, Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Nakota Sioux, Dene, Métis, and Inuit peoples.
