St. John the Evangelist church treated Cold Lake and area moms to brunch on Sunday, May 12. After enjoying delicious pancakes topped with fruit and whipped cream, moms were the guests of honour at a special Mother’s Day worship service.
Children decorated clay pots planted with flower seeds which they presented to their moms in the congregation. It was a joyful and busy Mother’s Day with more than 50 people attending the service.
In addition, flowers and herbs in beautiful hand-painted jars were provided by parishioners and Cornerbrooks Pet Bed and Breakfast proprietor Tanya Lehtinen and her staff. They donated proceeds from these beautiful Mother’s Day gifts to support the ministry activities of St. John’s church.
