Winter Gear for Sanctuary of Peace

This year, at the Diocesan Synod in October, the deacons will have an outreach table to collect items for our ecumenical inner-city ministry, the Sanctuary of Peace. Please encourage your church to collect items and drop them off (or send them with a Synod delegate) at All Saints' Cathedral on Friday, October 23, beginning at 5:00 pm.

Here is the list of winter needs from the Sanctuary of Peace:

• Men’s and women’s gloves or mittens
• Toques in black or grey
• Men’s and women’s long underwear
• ‘Hot Shots’ or some other brand of warming inserts for boots and gloves

We ask that you send items in muted shades of grey or black as much as possible, as that is the preference of our friends on the street. Please avoid brightly coloured knit items.
