St. Augustine's-Parkland Youth Group collected donations for the Kinsmen Christmas Hampers on Friday evening at the Red Apple store in Stony Plain. Boy, did Cameron, Ciara, Colston, Irene, Laelia, Jack, Karlee, Rhiley, and Sabine collect! They did an amazing job manning the table, shopping for the hampers and dancing outside at the corner to draw attention to what they were doing.
With the help of our ACW, they spent more than $800 donated by the congregation, buying a wide variety of items for the donation boxes. By the time they were done, they had two big boxes and a partial bin of donations, well over $100 in the cash box, and cash donations collected through interac tap. Well done kids!
Thanks to all who supported their cause and to those who came out to the store. We are already looking forward to doing it again in 2025! Submitted by Michelle Squance-Slade, Office Administrator, St. Augustine's-Parkland
