Jim Robertson, a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, is helping facilitate the group Windswept Meditations, a Vision Casting Event, on Friday, January 10, 7 pm, at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 10127 145 ST NW, Edmonton. This meditative event incorporating music, prayer bowls and fine art is being developed cooperatively by Doug Parth, Natalie Bryson and Jim Robertson. It is hoped that a community will form and help shape future gatherings. The events will focus on creating a place of spiritual exploration in a mutually supportive environment. Adherence to a religious tradition is not required to attend and participate.

Participants are asked to bring sketch pads or journals, a yoga mat or meditation cushion, if you prefer to be on the floor, poetic sensibility, gracious conversation and attentiveness and an open heart. Tea will be provided.

  • 7:00 – 7:15   Gathering: Pour a cup of tea, quietly meet some folk, explore the art and get settled in your seat while Doug provides ambient music
  • 7:15 - 7:20    Musical Segue by Nat
  • 7:20 – 7:30:  Welcome & Introduction to Process
  • 7:30 – 8:15:  Prayer Bowl Contemplation: Introduction and Engagement, morphing into Musical Meditation.
  • 8:15 – 8:40   Facilitated Conversation
  • 8:40 – 8:45:  Closing music by Nat and Liturgical Element by Jim
