Members of All Saints', Drayton Valley, participated in the first of a series of strategic planning sessions on Sunday, October 18, after their morning Eucharist service. Rita Stagman, People's Warden, with technical help from Holly and Shelby Cook, facilitated the discussion that focused on the question: "What do we want to see going on in All Saints’ Anglican Church in the next 3 – 5 years?"
All Saints' is using this as an opportunity to journey together, with the members of the congregation guiding and setting the direction and priorities for the church. This work will seek to get everyone on the same page about the "who" of All Saints', the "what" of its goals, and the "how" of the way to get there. The culmination of this process will be used in developing a vision, mission, and series of goals for All Saints' for the next several years. This process will encourage members to dream big and be innovative while balancing the need for the resulting plan to be one that is practical and realistic. The next session will be held on November 8, when members will work on developing a mission statement together.
