Proposals for papers on Theology and the Parish were due by May 5. The board especially welcomed proposals addressing this year’s theme of the relationship of theology, doctrine and dogma, and theological education to all aspects of parish life, worship, identity, and leadership.

This year’s conference features special presentations by Dr. Jerome Berryman (the Godly Play Institute), Dr. Tony Baker, and Fr. Miles Brandon (St. Julian of Norwich Episcopal Church, Austin, TX).

Dr. Berryman is the author and founder of Godly Play, a Montessori-inspired approach to children’s catechesis.

Dr. Baker is the Clinton S. Quinn Professor of Systematic Theology at the Seminary of the Southwest, and is also Theologian in Residence at St. Julian of Norwich Church.

Fr. Brandon is an Episcopal Priest and Vicar of St. Julian of Norwich Church, which he helped to plant.

Select presentations for this year's conference will be included in a special, guest-edited volume of the Anglican Theological Review.  Any questions, as well as proposals, not to exceed 300 words, should be sent to societyofscholarpriests@gmail.com
