Summer is here! 

Now is a great time to compile your archival records and send a box to the Provincial Archives! In addition to registers for marriages, funerals, baptisms/confirmations and vestry books (provided they have been completed), the Provincial Archives accepts many other items, including:

  • Annual Meeting Reports and Minutes
  • Minutes of All Committees (Corporation, Vestry, ACW, Stewardship, etc.) sorted chronologically in binders
  • Architectural Plans and Drawings
  • Photographs (properly labelled with names of those in the photos and locations)
  • Service Bulletins (particularly church announcements), sorted chronologically in binders

The archives requests that each parish sort and organize items before submission. More information regarding the submission of items to the Provincial Archives may be found at https://edmonton.anglican.ca/pages/archives.

Note: Parishes may send sorted and organized items in banker boxes to the Synod Office for forwarding to the Provincial Archives. Or parishes may send items to the Provincial Archives directly, but it is best to call ahead and arrange a time for drop off.
