Cursillo Welcome BBQ a Great Success

We had a fantastic Ultreya Welcome BBQ on June 8, 2024! Despite the rain it was a fabulous night and we had over 50 in attendance. We had magnificent music by Andrea and Rev. Barry and we had a heartwarming talk by Jenny regarding grouping and what it meant to her to be a Cursillista. Janie and Tom introduced our new Cursillistas and our awesome team we had for the weekend. Betty and Rita introduced their remarkable weekend Palanca team they had for the weekend. One of the best parts of the evening for me was our closing circle prayer – we encircled the whole room.
 
It was great to see St. Timothy’s Stewart Hall filled once again! All in all, it was a great night with music, talks, and good food, and it was wonderful to see all the new Cursillistas and their families. Thank you to our cook Corinna, musicians Andrea and Rev. Barry, speaker Jenny, for Rita for her hard work organizing, the weekend team, the Palanca team, and everyone else for coming out and making it a great evening. It was great to have Bishop Steve join us; we are very lucky he is a great supporter of Cursillo.
