Dayspring Ministry in Action

God is doing a new thing in the eastern region of the Diocese of Edmonton, where the congregations of St. Mary’s, Edgerton; St. Thomas, Wainwright; and St. Saviour’s, Vermilion recently came together as the Dayspring Ministry Team.

Pictured: St. Saviour's, Vermilion hosts a massive Garage Sale each fall with the entire proceeds supporting the Hot Meals Programs at the two local elementary schools; St. Mary's, Edgerton held a Christmas Cookie Fundraiser and donated to the Breakfast Programme at the local school and to the local Order of the Royal Purple's Christmas Angel Tree program; St. Thomas, Wainwright hosted an Early Christmas Communion and Traditional Turkey Dinner. Padre Rob Parker cooked the turkey and stuffing and hosted a potluck Christmas Dinner. A free-will offering was received with the gifts being shared equally between the Battle River Food Bank in Wainwright and the Padre's Benevolent Fund at CFB Wainwright. Submitted by the Rev.
