Rector of Dayspring Ministry and Archdeacon for Rural Ministry

Bishop Stephen London has appointed the Rev. Rachael Parker as rector of Dayspring Ministry, a shared ministry between St. Saviour's, Vermilion; St. Thomas', Wainwright, and St. Mary's, Edgerton.

He is also pleased to announce that the Rev. Rachael Parker will be collated as Archdeacon for Rural Ministry at the Opening Eucharist of the 68th Synod of the Diocese of Edmonton.

Bishop Stephen London says this is a renewal of the Edmonton diocese's commitment to rural ministry. "Rachael will help us encourage our rural parishes and help us imagine creative ways of doing rural ministry."

In the spirit of peaceful dialogue, understanding, reconciliation, and healing, we walk alongside our Indigenous and Métis relations on the Treaty 6 and Treaty 8 Territories, the traditional meeting ground of Cree, Saulteaux, Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Nakota Sioux, Dene, Métis, and Inuit peoples.
