On behalf of the Edmonton diocese, Bishop Jane Alexander and Executive Archdeacon Alan Perry welcomed members of the Council of Anglican Provinces of Africa (CAPA) and the Anglican Church of Canada (ACC) to Edmonton in mid-September. Representing CAPA were the Rev. Canon Grace Kaiso, general secretary; and Elizabeth Gichovi, Administration, Finance and Communications. They were accompanied by Isaac Kawuki Mukasa, ACC African Relations Coordinator, and his wife Charlotte.

Arriving on September 16th, the group spent three full days visiting rural and urban parishes, attending services and experiencing firsthand the creative, inclusive and loving ways the Edmonton diocese is living God’s mission. They even got to experience a few moments of snow during a visit to St. Patrick's in Edmonton.

The delegation commented several times that the visit gave them a fresh and encouraging view of the Canadian arm of the Anglican Communion.
