Although All Saints’, Drayton Valley, has been closed to in-person worship since November, 2020, church members have found innovative ways to stay connected with their church and one another. One way that the congregation has been building community is through “Video Hello’s” at the end of each weekly live streaming service where members of the church give greetings or a word of comfort. This came about as an idea from Tammy Flett, the rector’s warden of All Saints’, and has been happening since Sunday, March 14, with six families to date participating. Not only have church members been featured, but also their “extended families,” including their dogs, cats, and even Rev. Christopher’s cockatoo.
Submitted by the Rev. Christopher Cook, rector of All Saints' Anglican Church in Drayton Valley.
