Starting August 27, Trinity Youth Project is partnering with local restaurant Baijiu for an ice cream sandwich collaboration! Throughout September they will be baking a different cookie each week to pair with a unique ice cream flavour made in house by the folks at Baijiu. All the proceeds from sales will be donated to TYP to help grow their programming.
Diocesan Outreach Youth Coordinator, Clark Hardy says, “We have officially hired Chef Kelsey Johnson to take on our new Baking Program Coordinator position. Kelsey comes with a wealth of experience including working at Duchess Bake shop for years, and running Cafe Linnea, in addition to other roles in other great local Edmonton restaurants!”
“We are also back at the 124 Grand Market (farmer’s market) each Sunday from August 30 - September 27.”
The cookie treat pictured here is a nod to TYP’s famous cinnamon buns. It features a cinnamon sugar palmier with a cream cheese ice cream in the middle! Also note the market photo is from 2019, so pre-COVID.
