Bleeding Heart Ministry Opens New Art Space
Bleeding Heart Art Space, a growing ministry of the Edmonton diocese, has moved to a new home. When the lease expired on the Alberta Avenue storefront gallery, the Bleeding Heart team set about transforming an office space on the top floor of the building next door. The grand opening takes place Sept 15-17 during Kaleido Festival. Supported by private donors and volunteers, this ministry needs to raise $3,000 to cover the cost of renovations. New paint. New wall. New floors. New community bar. So much beauty for so little. Your gift - every gift - will help make this dream a reality by the time Bleeding Heart re-opens on September 13! Church in the Park
Sunday, August 27 dawned clear and bright and warm - perfect weather for Church in the Park! Two southeast Edmonton churches, St. Augustine of Canterbury and St. Luke, got together at Gold Bar Park to enjoy an outdoor service - which included a challenging (for some of us) memory game. The theme came from Joshua 1, where God encourages Joshua to "be stong and very courageous" and to remember all that the Lord had written through Moses. That was followed by a lunch of hamburgers, hotdogs and all the fixin's, and then some Messy Church activities enjoyed by kids of all ages. Photos by Tony Saloway For more infomation visit:
