My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Evelyn (Ivy) McKnight, widow of the Rev. Canon Tom McKnight, who passed away on August 21, 2020. Ivy served faithfully alongside Tom for more than 50 years in rural parishes of the diocese, and at St. Michael and All Angels and St. Stephen the Martyr in Edmonton. Please keep Ivy's family in your prayers.
Loving and merciful God,
We entrust our sister Ivy to your mercy.
You loved her greatly in this life;
Now that she is freed from all its cares give her happiness and peace for ever.
The old order has passed away;
Welcome her into paradise
Where there will be no more sorrow,
No more weeping or pain,
But only peace and joy
With Jesus, Your Son,
And the Holy Spirit,
For ever and ever Amen.
