Today, June 26, at 2 pm, Edmonton Coalition on Housing and Homelessness (ECOHH) invites all interested and concerned people to participate in the 14th annual service to honour citizens of Edmonton who died in situations where homelessness or poor housing was a significant factor.
At the service, family and friends are invited to take part in a simple act of tribute by placing flowers at the Homeless Memorial in remembrance of the 95 people who died in 2018, as well as all 801 people who have died since the first service was held 14 years ago.
The program will begin at Boyle Street Community Services, 10116-105 Avenue, and continue on to the Homeless Memorial Plaza (north of City Hall on 103A Avenue).
ECOHH is a coalition of organizations involved with housing and associated services. It has been active in education and advocacy since 1986.
