Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent, a 40-day season of preparation for Holy Week and Easter. This simple Eucharist service calls us to observe a holy Lent, to enter this sacred season together, and to prepare our hearts through prayer, giving, self-examination, and penitence.

All Saints' Cathedral is holding two Ash Wednesday services, at 12:10 pm and 7:00 pm. All are welcome. Please also check with your local Anglican Diocese of Edmonton church for other Ash Wednesday services near you.

Holy God,
our lives are laid open before you:
rescue us from the chaos of sin
and through the death of your Son
bring us healing and make us whole
in Jesus Christ our Lord.
