The Canadian Council of Churches' invites you to join an Ecumenical Pentecost Vigil live, starting at 1:00pm, Edmonton time on Saturday, May 30. Primate Linda Nichols will join national leaders of eight other denominations in this virtual celebration based on Acts 2:1, "When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place." In the spirit of peaceful dialogue, understanding, reconciliation, and healing, we walk alongside our Indigenous and Métis relations on the Treaty 6 and Treaty 8 Territories, the traditional meeting ground of Cree, Saulteaux, Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Nakota Sioux, Dene, Métis, and Inuit peoples.
