The second Sunday of Advent (December 9th) was a day of special fun for St Patrick’s Sunday School and Youth Group members. Instead of regular activities and study, children and youth had fun making ornaments for a Christmas tree set up at the back of the church for the duration of the Christmas season. Among ornaments created were bells, sheep and pinecone ornaments. Larger pine cones were used to make “Christmas trees” to be placed on the tables as centerpieces for a parish birthday party for Jesus and pot luck lunch after regular service and the Sunday School Christmas presentation in church on the third Sunday of Advent (December 16th). Story and photos submitted by Wayne Madden of St. Patrick's Anglican Church.
