National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: Acknowledge, Pray, Commit and Act

The Synod Office will be closed this Thursday, September 30, in observance of the National Truth and Reconciliation Day. On this day we hope you will set aside some time to acknowledge past harm and pray about how we can continue to address the Calls to Action as a church community. 

The Anglican Church of Canada has provided this 18-minute video service of reflection and prayer, designed by Indigenous Anglican Elders. We are invited to walk with them on a journey of grief and sorrow for the hurt and injustices of the past and present. They share teachings about forgiveness and help us to understand what must be done to be able to move toward reconciliation.
