St. Mary's, Ponoka Honours ACW Life Member

The Rev. Trina Holmberg and Heather Labrie, St. Mary’s ACW Vice-President, led the service to install Violet Irene Bouvier as a Life Member of the ACW at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Ponoka, on July 14, 2024. St. Mary’s is part of the South and East ACW Region of the Edmonton Diocese.

Violet’s Favorite Scripture is Luke 21:24: “They shall see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with Power and Great Glory” (King James translation). Violet has moved many times in her life. Each community benefited from her love and faith. She has served as a parish warden, vestry member, on the altar guild and in the ACW. In some churches, she also did the cleaning, kept the fires going and cleaned the walks. Violet lives her faith and is a wonderful, loving person who continues to serve the church, God’s people and her God.
