Walking Humbly with God ACW Discusses Past, Present and Future Good Works
The annual meeting of the Diocese of Edmonton Anglican Church Women (ACW) provided an opportunity for members across the diocese to reflect and discern how to walk humbly with their Lord as they serve the Gospel in a changing society. Held on Saturday, May 6, the Annual began with a Service of Holy Communion, led by Bishop Stephen London, at St. Matthias Anglican Church in west Edmonton. The service of thanksgiving included the “ACW Prayer,” and “Life Members Prayer.” In his sermon, Bishop Steve outlined many of the changes the larger Church has gone through over the centuries. Past National ACW President Margaret Warwick shared a brief history of an organisation rich in fellowship and service. In Canada, the ACW traces its roots to the Women’s Auxiliary (WA) which was started in 1886 by Roberta Tilton. For more infomation visit:

St. Matthew's Offering Hands-on Program to Help Children Discover God's Love for Them
Have you ever stumbled across something really, really great and you want to climb to the mountaintop and shout it out to the entire diocese? St. Matthew’s, St. Albert, with the help of dedicated volunteers Debby Smethurst and Joanne McFarlane, has successfully run the Catechesis of Good Shepherd program for a number of seasons, most recently right before the COVID pandemic. The aim of the program, co-developed by Sofia Carvelletti and Gianna Gobbi, is to help children discover the Good Shepherd’s personal and unconditional love for each person through “an environment which is carefully prepared to foster the religious life of the child.” Materials and images “help the child to concentrate and reflect; thus, they nurture the child’s natural capacity for contemplation.” (Listening to God with Children, p. 9)

Christ Church Mosaic: Affordable Christian Student Housing in a Community Setting Close to Downtown Edmonton!
There are just a few spots left for the 2023-24 school term for affordable community living for Christian students close to downtown Edmonton. Christ Church Mosaic (120th St and 102 Ave) is a house next door to Christ Church parish, where six young adults from various parts of the country live out their faith and their lives together. Attending a variety of schools and programs, these young people form an intentional Christian Community during the school year. Living as housemates, these residents work together to decide the “rule of life” that will shape their common experience over the course of the year. Supported by Christ Church Parish in their spiritual journey, Mosaic residents gather twice a month with parish volunteers to engage in Bible study and discussion. Apply to be a resident for the 2023-24 term by completing this FORM. For more infomation visit:
