The Anglican Diocese of Edmonton has two sources of funding to support young people. Priority for funding will be given to parishioners of the Diocese of Edmonton and their families. When funds are requested for camp, priority will be given to Diocese of Edmonton camps, Hastings Lake Bible Camp and Camp Van Es.
- The Kevin Campbell Camp Scholarship is used primarily to support children and youth wishing to attend camp. Kevin (pictured left) was a camper and counsellor at Camp Come Alive. He was a member of the Northern Canoe Voyageurs, and an avid member of the youth group in his church. He is remembered for his infectious smile, adventurous spirit and zest for life. Tragically, Kevin died in 2001, at the age of 26. The Diocese of Edmonton Summer Camps Program and the Campbell family established a scholarship fund in Kevin’s memory, so that other young people could experience the joy of summer camp.
- The Richard Gordon Utas Trust Fund can be used to support children attending camp, and also other endeavours. In 1988, the Utas family established the Richard Gordon Utas Trust in memory of their son. The objectives of the trust are to support children and parents in need, by providing financial assistance for recreational, cultural and academic programs, with an aim to enhance the mental, moral, physical and social well-being and development of children.
