From the Anglican Church of Canada: The journey toward electing the next Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada is underway. This week, the House of Bishops gathers at Mount Carmel in Niagara Falls for a time of prayer, reflection, and discernment. As part of this gathering, they will prayerfully nominate three to five bishops to be presented on the ballot at General Synod.

Acting Primate Archbishop Anne Germond invites the whole church to pray that the Spirit may guide the bishops in wisdom and grace.

The Anglican Fellowship of Prayer Invites You to "Walking the Way of Jesus: from Jerusalem to Your Home" – an Online Pilgrimage with Canon Richard Sewell, Dean of St. George’s College, Jerusalem. Join us for a free, transformative, online pilgrimage and a deeper exploration of faith, the Holy Land,
and spiritual growth on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Sessions will be offered at 10 am and 2:30 PM MST on Zoom.

Canon Sewell will guide participants through the sacred journey of pilgrimage, the holiness of the Holy Land, and how the timeless lessons of this land can nourish and transform our spiritual lives.

"Petaled," the third Windswept Meditations project, will be held April 7, 7 pm, at St. Paul's, 10127 145 St. NW, Edmonton. THis event will build on the content explored in the first two events, Water & Leaves, and Rest & Wait.

Developed by Doug Parth, Natalie Bryson and Jim Robertson, Windswept Meditations encourages spiritual exploration in a mutually supportive environment through pop-up events that blend meditation, contemplation and creativity. Adherence to a religious tradition is not required to attend and participate.

Participate in the 45th Anniversary of the Outdoor Way of the Cross, an ecumenical prayer event along the streets of Edmonton’s inner city while reflecting on how the gospel values of Jesus apply to individual and public life today. All are being called to walk together in hope on Good Friday, April 18. The two-km walk will begin at 10 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for the First Peoples, 10821 96 Street. Soup, sandwiches and bannock will be served after the walk.

He intends to use the orders in the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) and the Book of Alternative Services (BAS) and is open to using other resources. Registration for the Anglican Foundation of Canada’s (AFC) 5th annual Say Yes! to Kids (SYTK) campaign is now open. The 2025 campaign will launch on Tuesday, April 22 and close on Monday, June 30. All parishes, dioceses and organizations seeking to partner with AFC are asked to register by April 1.

The Edmonton Grandmothers, including several members of the local Christian community, will hold their annual Fabulous Fabric Frenzy and More Sale on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Strathearn United Church, 8510 - 95 Ave NW, Edmonton. There will be a selection of fabric, yarn, notions and craft supplies. This will be our only fabric sale this year - we hope to see you there!!! An admission of $2 (cash only) and purchases (cash, credit card, or debit card) support grandmothers in sub-Saharan Africa raising their grandchildren due to the AIDS pandemic.
