St. George’s Anglican Church is a warm and welcoming community serving Christ in its neighbours at Fort Saskatchewan, located 25 kms northeast of Edmonton.

You will find St. George’s at 10029 - 99 Avenue just steps away from vibrant downtown complete with restaurants and small businesses. Pull up in the parking lot and snap a selfie in front of the church. The property is large and located right beside an elementary school with a large playground for littles!

There is plenty to see and do in Fort Saskatchewan. Situated along the North Saskatchewan River, it has one of the best trail systems in the area which can be accessed at many points throughout the town. St. George’s is a only few blocks away from these access points.

Across the street from the church is the Fort Museum, a collection of maintained houses, schools, churches, a courthouse, and all the equipment you will need to have a blast walking through the past.

Fort Saskatchewan Museum is also home to the Sheep of Fort Saskatchewan which attract many visitors and keep the grass trimmed. The City uses the flock as an eco-friendly way of looking after the city parks and they roam around the museum property.

On your way back to your car stop in at the Train Car across the street from the church and grab a cold treat from Millers Ice Cream.

Head downtown to grab a bite to eat. The choices of cuisines are endless and one of these restaurants was featured on the Food Network series You Gotta Eat Here.

After your lunch hop in your car and head down to West River’s Edge and enjoy a walk around a manmade lake with access to the river.

If you have little ones with you head down to Andy’s Playground before you leave to run off all of the sweets from Millers! Andy’s Playground is located down by the river beside the baseball diamonds. With access to walking trails and a ton of playground equipment, it will be hard to leave! **Please Note: When visiting Fort Saskatchewan, please adhere to the guidelines mandated in Alberta.
