St. Mary’s is a family of Christians with the best sense of humour, who truly watch out for one another and share Christian love everywhere they go. You’ll find St. Mary’s 240 kms southeast of Edmonton in the village of Edgerton, at 5024 - 50 Street.
Stop by the church when you arrive in town and take a selfie out front before checking out some favourite attractions recommended by local community members:
- Teacups to Tractors: Edgerton and District Historical Museum is the best-kept secret in Alberta. Upon arrival head over to the museum and wander through the six buildings on site that are maintained and used to store historical artifacts and treasure;
- Whether you are visiting Edgerton on a hot sunny day, or a cool rainy day, make sure to stop in at Ribstone Creek Brewery. Located in a historical building on Main Street (a former tractor dealership) Ribstone has an abundance of award-winning beer sure to delight your taste buds;
- Shuster Lake, stocked every year with Rainbow Trout, is a popular area to visit. Folks head out to Shuster in the summer and the winter to fish. If fishing’s not your thing, you can wander the 96 acres of land near the lake;
- Koruluk Landslide, 45 minutes north of Edgerton, marks where the side of a hill collapsed and fell into an approximately 80-foot deep hole. Check out directions at this link. Visitors to the Koroluk Landslide site are welcomed by a kiosk at the entrance, offering background about the slide, while a footpath covers a one-mile area. **Please Note: When visiting Edgerton, please adhere to the guidelines mandated in Alberta. Stay 6ft apart. Wear a mask. Stay home if you are sick.
