The document Finding Our Way  which was based on input from throughout the diocese, begins with the Gospel at the Center, is founded on five Principles, and outlines 12 Goals for the Diocese of Edmonton. The fifth of these goals is Team Ministry:

We will explore with congregations and clergy the greater coordination of nearby parishes and the potential for regional, shared ministry teams as an alternative or supplement to the traditional parochial structure.
